Love’s Truck Stop
This is more than a truck stop- it’s a genuine travel centre with 2 restaurants and a small department store of goods and trinkets. If you overnight in your RV at a truck stop, you’re obligated to buy something.
It’s a kind of “thank you” to your host. I searched beyond the racks of toddler-sized pink leatherette motorcycle jackets with the red white and blue letters “USA” emblazoned on the back and bought a tiny shotgun pen with pump action to secure my stay here.
There is a comfort in the grumbling engines of the trucks here at Love’s Travel Center in Kimball, South Dakota.. Life is going on as it should be. The goods will get where they need to be when we are all well rested.
The grumbling is loud, rhythmic. I’m soon lulled into an endless highway dreamscape coma until daylight creeps through the RV window shades.

Love your sense of Sarcasm….Welcome to the ‘good Old USA”
Thanks! 🙂
Thanks Gary! South Dakota, overall was like a 3 ring circus in a way. Because there is just so much going on everywhere, all at once. “Come see the amazing (insert roadside attraction here)!”
