Antler Lake Day use area is about a 10 minute drive northwest of Gold RIver, BC. It's one of Vancouver Island's best hidden gems. There are some nice hiking trails here for most abilities, and a lovely picnic area with a nice swimming beach for those who just want to relax and enjoy the ultimate in wild, westcoast beauty. The road in is slightly rough, but doable by car if you take your time.

Today we went for a stroll to 40 Knots Winery in Comox to see what they had to offer. What a great selection of wines and ciders ! It was hard to choose just one. I wound up going with a lovely locally grown cranberry apple cider which was delicious. I love that this place welcomes dogs.
